CV2014-3 (SWITZERLAND): We present at auction one of the most iconic silhouettes of sports watchmaking: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph. This unit in particular is the coveted special edition that pays tribute to the legendary Argentine driver Juan Manuel Fangio, whose portrait is beautifully engraved in relief on the case back. The case, forged in solid stainless steel, has a diameter of [Insert diameter without crown] mm. It features a black external bezel with a tachymeter scale for measuring speeds. The main crown, stamped with the TAG Heuer shield, is accompanied by the classic pump-type chronograph pushers. The black dial is protected by a sapphire crystal and configured with three subdials, highlighting the chronograph hands in a vibrant red "Racing" color and a practical date window at 3 o’clock. Inside beats the prestigious and robust TAG Heuer automatic movement Calibre 16. Condition of preservation (Expert Review) Prospective bidders are urged to carefully observe the photo gallery, which constitutes a fundamental part of the description. The watch is in daily wear condition, showing evident marks: Bezel and Crystal: The black insert of the tachymetric bezel shows multiple dings, scratches, and enamel loss from normal use. The sapphire crystal is in good overall visual condition. Case and Back: The steel shows micro-scratches and signs of wear. The screw-down case back preserves all its engravings intact and legible, including Fangio’s portrait, the reference (CV2014-3) and the serial number (EKN0649). Bracelet: It wears its original stainless steel bracelet with a signed deployant clasp. It shows superficial scratches on the links and clasp. Mechanical: Automatic movement operative.
