TAFFINDER OF ROTHERHAM; a Georgian oak and inlaid mahogany cased eight-day longcase clock, with painted arched top dial depicting a seated figure with a wheelbarrow and spade in a landscape, the painted Roman dial with two secondary dials, signed, enclosing a twin fusée movement, the hood with broken swan neck pediment, on a case with quarter pilasters and bracket feet, height 227cm. The top with some minor losses to the marquetry, splits especially to the base, some evidence of old worm, the painted dial faded in places and with some knocks.
