Table lamp - Brass, Marble - Art Deco

It is a lamp that embodies that warm, theatrical glamour so inherent to Hollywood Regency, yet filtered through the decorative sensibility of mid-20th century design, when brass and marble were combined to create pieces with sculptural presence and a touch of fantasy. The brass body, worked with a nearly Baroque floral relief, unfolds petals, leaves, and volutes that seem to open around the central axis as if the lamp were a metallic flower frozen in a full gesture. The aged-gold finish adds depth and that warm shine that defines antique brass. In the center, the contrast with the darker, more sober area reinforces the sense of a piece built in layers, like a small decorative totem. The marble base, solid and elegant, anchors the composition with a visual weight that balances the exuberance of the body. That dialogue between noble marble and ornate brass is very characteristic of the style, where opulence is never excessive, but carefully choreographed. The pull with the red tassel, a deliciously theatrical detail, introduces a nearly cinematic wink: a touch of color, an era-appropriate gesture, a small everyday luxury. The pull-chain switch, so typical of the mid-20th century, adds authenticity and keeps the piece in its historical context. Overall, it is a lamp that not only illuminates but creates atmosphere: a mix of romanticism, decorative fantasy, and vintage elegance. An ideal piece for those seeking objects with character, history, and that stage-worthy shine so typical of the Second Empire reinterpreted in a Hollywood-inspired key. Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
