T-56. Confederate Currency. 1863 $100. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. No. 1781. Plate D. A better example of this short-lived design which features a printed back which was an uncommon sight on later Confederate types and one that was later abandoned altogether as the Confederacy's fortunes waned following the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. PMG Comments "Great Color." Estimate: $600 - $800.
