Stunning Vintage Yellow Gold Earclips with 5.75 ct Diamonds, Italy c. 1985

This pair of vintage earrings offers a truly stunning appearance. High-carat gold and approximately 5.75 ct of the finest diamonds combine to create a glamorous eye-catcher that exemplifies the spirit of the 1980s. Jewellery of this decade can hardly be understood without its cultural context: it was a time of economic dynamism, accelerating media, and consciously staged glamour. Fashion became louder, more extroverted, and increasingly served as a means of confident self-presentation—a development clearly reflected in jewellery. Boldness became the guiding principle, and jewellery grew larger, more prominent, and materially more opulent. According to the hallmarks, the earrings were made in Italy and came to us from an important Stuttgart collection.
