Romantic sculpture – Couple on a swing – Polychrome ceramic/porcelain – Signed – Italy, circa 1960–1980 Very beautiful and imposing decorative sculpture depicting a young couple on a swing, in a charming gallant and romantic scene. The young woman wears an elegant ivory-pink dress, decorated with delicate floral motifs, while her companion is dressed in ivory and pastel blue tones. The sculpture stands out for the richness of its details: finely modeled faces, worked drapery, numerous flowers in relief, foliage, a textured-looking trunk and gilded ropes of the swing. The whole rests on a rectangular wooden-look base. Piece made in polychrome ceramic/porcelain, in a romantic style with a gallant scene, characteristic of European decorative productions from the second half of the 20th century. A signature or recessed mark is present on the base and visible in the photographs. Origin: Italy Period: circa 1960–1980 Style: romantic / gallant scene Manufacturer: unidentified Signed/marked: yes, recessed mark on the base Dimensions: approximately 42 cm high × 23 cm wide The sculpture is in very good overall condition, with no breaks observed.
