Statue, Ghepardo - Dipinta a Mano – Stile Hollywood...

Splendid and elegant life-size terra-cotta sculpture depicting a seated cheetah, a superb example of Italian artistic ceramic craftsmanship from the second half of the twentieth century. This piece perfectly embodies the glamorous and bold Hollywood Regency style, a furnishing trend that between the 1960s and 1980s celebrated exoticism and chic eccentricity, making these large ceramics true status symbols of interior design. The figure stands out for a magnetic and almost human expressiveness in its gaze, accentuated by fluid lines and the details of the muzzle. The coat is hand-decorated throughout with the distinctive small-point and rosette spotting on a shaded background in cream, ochre, and Siena earth tones, protected by a glossy finish that lends extraordinary luster to the surface. A piece with strong visual impact, ideal as a statement element for entrances, elegant living rooms, or to enrich a collection of mid-century modern collectibles and art ceramics.
