Spoon (8) - Silver - 8 silver coin spoons

Special collection of Dutch coin spoons, crafted from original silver coins from the reign of Queen Wilhelmina (1890–1948). The collection comprises various coin denominations, from 10 cents to 2½ guilders (rijksdaalder). The spoons have different designs with finely turned stems, openwork decorations and graceful ends. The coins are partly shaped into spoon bowls. The original coin portraits, arms and dates are largely visible. Such coin spoons were produced, among other times, during World War II as an expression of loyalty to the Dutch royal house. Whether this also applies to these specimens has not been determined. The silver content of the stems and other parts has not been determined separately. Good used condition with normal signs of wear, natural patina and local discolorations. A decorative and historically interesting collection of Dutch coin spoons. The photos of both sides are part of the description.
