Spanish walnut lyre-leg table. Spanish School. 17th century.

Descriptio Carved walnut wood. Measurements: 76 x 44 x 67 cm. 17th-century Spanish table with lyre legs, recognizable by their sinuous, curvilinear design, which lends dynamism to the piece. The rectangular tabletop is supported by crossbars joined by ironwork, reinforcing its stability. The piece reflects the aesthetic evolution toward a more formal Baroque style, combining robustness with a more expressive design. An example of Castilian furniture where the lyre leg typology became a symbol of prestige and sophistication within 17th-century furniture. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
