SOUTHERN AFRICA Service from India. This inaugural feeder service was run by Tata Ltd between Madras and Karachi, where it then joined the Imperial Airways to Cairo and then Imperial Airways from Cairo to Cape Town. The first flight was 18th Oct 1932. Three covers that were on this flight, one to Cape Town, one to Windhoek and one to Johannesburg. The later two covers are similar in design, but the one to Windhoek has had the Union Jack flag removed due to strong protests in India! A fine trio.
