This model stands out for its unique military-inspired aesthetic ("rugged design"), originally conceived for outdoor use and to resist splashes and dust. The radio features 4 frequency bands: FM, MW, LW and SW (shortwave), with a vertical tuning scale with unmistakable retro charm. It has separate knobs for volume and tone, and a robust front metal handle to protect the panel. Technical Details and Conditions: • Brand: Sony • Model: ICF-6000L (FM/MW/LW/SW 4-Band Receiver) • Period: About 1976-1978 • Aesthetic conditions: Excellent vintage condition, as visible in the stable and detailed photos. Solid build with no obvious cracks, but with a few signs of wear that testify to its authenticity. • Operational conditions: Tested and functioning. The radio powers on and receives correctly on all available bands. The lamp for the scale illumination needs to be replaced, but this does not affect operation. • Power supply: Works with batteries or via external 4.5-volt power adapter (not included). An indispensable piece for retro collectors, vintage radio enthusiasts, and lovers of Sony’s 20th-century radio design."} )}
