Maastricht Ceramic Company, Humorous wall plaque 'Urban Lady and Village Man', This wall plaque was manufactured in the period 1910–1925. The image could be called humorous genre art. The late Art Deco features are visible in the tall, streamlined figure of the lady, her elevated waist, the striking hat, and the slender umbrella. In production, the airbrush/spraying technique was used, giving beautiful, soft color transitions. It is not known whether the designer was Henri Cassiers or whether it was modeled after his example. The wall plaque is in excellent condition. The diameter is 26 cm and the weight is 650 grams.
