SKE - Ramen Rider

Artist: SKE Title: Ramen Rider Number 02/10 Printed on Hahnemühle art paper Edited by Atelier MONTMARTRE Format: ISO A2 Dimensions: 42 × 59.4 cm Edition limited to 10 copies Mixed media: digital painting (Procreate IA Photoshop) Each copy is hand-signed and numbered by the artist Certificate of authenticity included Sold unframed Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart There are images that smell of childhood. This one also smells of hot broth and Japanese asphalt. With Ramen Rider, Snoopy leaves his kennel to ride a red delivery scooter, while Woodstock takes a place in the middle of an improbable cargo of ramen bowls. In the distance, Mount Fuji dominates the scene. Around them: flowering cherry trees, pagoda, torii, Japanese signs, a red sun and a lakeside landscape compose a dreamed Japan, instantly recognizable. I wanted to confront two imaginations that already live in our collective memory: the timeless tenderness of Snoopy and Woodstock, from the Peanuts universe, and the visual aesthetic of traditional Japan. The result plays like a miniature road movie, somewhere between American pop culture, retro poster, and revisited ukiyo-e. This is not a simple decorative wink. It’s a collision of references: Snoopy’s quiet humor, the poetry of travel, the graphic codes of Japan and that nostalgia sensation we recognize even before we can explain it. Ramen Rider is conceived as a collectible piece: an image capable of making you smile from afar, then revealing its details up close. A work for those who grew up with Snoopy, who dream of Japan, or who enjoy when two cult universes meet where you’d least expect them. - FRAMING TIPS Your work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. On receipt, remove it gently and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally returns to shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at do-it-yourself or decorating stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and economical; they showcase the works perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up with 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s profile has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” in October, and also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play define a style now indispensable. SKE is undeniably an artist to watch, to initiate or enhance a collection with rising value. Awarded & Recognized Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line work carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to rework the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), including Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the aesthetics of “Hype”: you meet sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking sometimes the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of a Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal to enrich a collection or bring a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
