Tutte le aste / Arte Contemporanea / SKE - Beyond the Dragon Balls
“Beyond the Dragon Balls” – Ultra Limited Edition (10 copies) - New collection Edition number: 02/10 Artist: SKE Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart Mixed media: digital painting (Procreate, generative tools, Photoshop) Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris Premium art paper – ISO A2 format (59.4x42cm) – Signed, numbered – Certificate included There are images that instantly recall a time when a few notes of the theme song were enough to halt the world around us. With Beyond the Dragon Balls, I bring together several generations of Dragon Ball Z in one vision: Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Krillin and Bulma stand facing Shenron, while Freezer, Cell and Majin Buu rise in the sky like the great adversaries that marked the saga. The Dragon Balls, mountains, temples, clouds, cherry blossoms and the large red sun compose a setting where the world of manga meets the aesthetics of the Japanese print. I didn’t want simply to line up cult characters. I built the scene as a fresco: a suspended moment before the wish, when the heroes gaze at something larger than themselves. The graphical treatment, printing textures, grain and Japanese references transform this collective memory into a contemporary piece at the crossroads of pop art, manga culture and my SKE universe. The work is offered in a limited edition of 10 copies, in A2 portrait format, printed on Hahnemühle art paper by Atelier Montmartre Paris. Each copy is hand-signed and numbered and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity. The work is delivered unframed. A piece designed for those who never truly left this universe – and who today prefer to bring it into their collection. Specifications: • Limited edition of 10 copies • Print on premium art paper • ISO A2 format (59.4x42 cm), easy to frame • Each copy signed and numbered by SKE • Delivered with certificate of authenticity • Shipped protected, reinforced packaging A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a flagship element of your collection. - FRAMING TIPS Your work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, carefully remove it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or home décor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and economical, they perfectly showcase the works. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up with 80s/90s culture, inspiring the majority of his artistic work. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double readings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then chosen as Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” in October and also featured in an American art magazine, confirming international recognition. His works have been exhibited at major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place in the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style that has become essential. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Noted Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits within a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and through to Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured surfaces evoking the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
