Sidewalker - Newel Hunter

Sidewalker by Newel Hunter Painting 16.0 x 20.0 :: “Sidewalker” presents a striking silhouette of a solitary figure standing in profile rendered predominantly in dark tones against a textured lighter background. The figure's form is composed with a fragmented almost collage-like technique where sections appear layered or torn creating a sense of depth and complexity within the otherwise stark shape. The contrast between the solid black figure and the rough tactile background adds strong visual tension and evokes a mood of contemplation or solitude. There is a poetic quality in the rough edges and layered elements that suggests themes of identity memory or fragmentation offering many layers of interpretation. The piece could be seen as a striking portrait and narrative reflecting the homeless occupants of sidewalks and back alleys in cities everywhere. Sidewalker is painted with acrylic on an 16 x 20 x .25 inch canvas panel ready to frame. It comes carefully packaged and shipped in a double thick cardboard box for maximum protection. Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Expressionism Subject: Figures & Portraits Width: 16.0 Height: 20.0 Depth: 0.3 Weight: 2 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
