Sideboard - Teak

BUFFET IN TECK WITH MID-CENTURY MODERN STYLE – DANISH DESIGN, 1960s DESCRIPTION Elegant vintage Mid-Century Modern style sideboard, this piece of furniture is distinguished by its clean lines, harmonious proportions, and the natural beauty of the warm grain of teak. Inspired by the aesthetics of 1960s Danish design, this unit combines functionality, refinement, and timeless sobriety. Its slender silhouette, underscored by slim legs, gives it a light and elegant look. On the left side, a façade composed of wooden slat panels subtly hides a set of five drawers, offering practical and discreet storage space. The top drawer, intended in particular for cutlery, is lined with a red velvet fabric, providing a refined interior finish and a subtle contrast with the natural wood tones. The main body of the sideboard features two smoothly operating sliding doors, opening to a large internal storage area organized around sturdy shelves. This design allows for storing everyday objects as well as decorative accessories, dishes, or linens. At the back of the piece there is an original provenance label bearing the inscription “Aug. Christiansen KG Einrichtungshaus, Hauptstr. 79, Niebüll”, constituting an interesting documentary element for its identification and history. Through its balanced aesthetics, the apparent quality of its finishes, and its functional layout, this sideboard will naturally sit well in a vintage, Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern, or contemporary interior.
