Side table - Wood, Brass - Louis XVI style

A sophisticated Louis XVI-inspired occasional table, produced in the mid-20th century, a piece that reinterprets the elegance of classical French furniture through the decorative sensibility of Hollywood Regency aesthetics. Its design combines the warmth of wood with the ornamental richness of gilt brass, giving rise to a refined and luminous ensemble conceived to impart a touch of distinction to any interior. The structure features a rectangular wood top with an attractive reddish grain, crowned by a small wavy-profile back gallery that adds verticality and enhances its decorative character. Under the board sits a central drawer integrated into a front covered in gilt brass, whose shine harmoniously contrasts with the wood and emphasizes the piece’s luxurious air. The Rocaille-inspired ornamental details, executed in cast and gilded brass, adorn both the upper gallery and the front skirting, evoking the refinement of eighteenth-century French furniture. The slender, fluted legs in gold metal, inspired by the classical columns characteristic of the Louis XVI style, provide visual lightness and architectural elegance to the set. Between them runs a practical lower wooden tray that offers extra resting space, while the decorative crosspieces and turned finials underscore the piece’s meticulous craftsmanship. The result is a furniture with strong decorative personality that fuses French Neoclassical tradition with the sophisticated glamour associated with mid-century Hollywood interiors. Ideal as an end table, a lamp table, or a small accent piece, it stands out for its ability to integrate into both classical settings and eclectic décors, offering a perfect balance between historical elegance, functionality, and discreet luxury. Certified shipping and careful packaging.
