Shell Motor Oil & Popeye – Rond Emaille Reclamebord - Enamel sign - Enamel

Striking round enamel advertising board for Shell Motor Oil, featuring a colorful image of the famous comic characters Popeye and Olive Oyl in a boat. In the lower left corner the classic red Shell scallop emblem is prominently displayed. The combination of classic oil and gasoline advertising with the recognizable Popeye theme makes this a particularly decorative collectible for enthusiasts of automobilia, petroliana and comic characters. The board has four mounting holes. Around the holes there is localized enamel loss and oxidation visible. There are also some signs of wear, while the colors and images remain clearly visible. Diameter: 30 cm Material: enamel/metal Country of origin brand/advertising: United States Theme: Shell / motor oil / Popeye / automobilia Without additional factory or licensing markings on the rear, I would not describe the board as an official historical Shell/Popeye release. The condition and any signs of wear are visible in the photos. Will be shipped carefully and well packaged.
