Sculpture, Querubines - 45 cm - Papier-mache

Charming decorative cherub ornament made of pressed cardboard during the second half of the 20th century, a piece of ornamental character inspired by the angelic iconography of the Baroque and Rococo. The composition represents three feathered cherub heads grouped in a symmetrical and harmonious arrangement, evoking the heavenly motifs that traditionally decorated altarpieces, frescoes and religious architectural elements. Molded with soft volumes and rounded shapes, the ensemble stands out for the delicacy of its features and the serene expressiveness of the faces, framed by outstretched wings that provide visual balance and a sense of movement. The lightness typical of pressed cardboard allowed for rich detailing of the folds, hair and contours, giving rise to a piece with notable sculptural effect. The surface has been hand-painted with an attractive polychromy in aged aqua-green tones and gold accents, creating a decorative patina with an antique look that highlights reliefs and textures. This classical-inspired finish adds depth and a charming vintage aura that enhances its presence as an ornamental element. Ideal for wall decoration or as an accent piece in romantic, classical, eclectic or shabby chic-inspired interiors, this group of cherubs combines lightness, artisanal warmth and historical evocation. A decorative piece with great visual appeal that brings a celestial and elegant touch to any space. Shipped with tracking and well-packaged.
