An impressive and highly detailed bronze sculpture of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicted in his characteristic military stance with bicorne, long cloak, sabre and spyglass. The calm, confident pose with arms folded gives the statue a monumental presence. Notably beautiful are the detailed rendering of the face, clothing, boots, cloak folds, and military accoutrements. The dark brown-bronze patina is subtly lighter on the raised areas, making the details stand out nicely. The figure stands on a heavy black marble plinth, which forms a beautiful contrast with the warm bronze. On the bronze base there are several interesting features, including: * a handwritten signature in bronze; * a round foundry/bronze mark; * a separately applied number A6806. These markings have been extensively photographed and make the piece even more interesting for collectors. A classic and decorative art object that works exceptionally well in an interior, library, office, gallery, or collection of historical and military art.
