Sculpture, Coppia di galli da combattimento - Perù - 10 cm - .925 silver

Prestigious pair of decorative sculptures depicting two fighting cocks in dramatic and mirrored postures (gallos de pelea), an excellent expression of the mid-20th-century Peruvian silversmithing school. The two pieces are made of solid 925 silver (sterling silver). The heavy casting work stands out for an extraordinary richness of detail, meticulously finished by hand through careful chasing and engraving. The prominent crests, open beaks in a defiant stance, and majestic raised tails confer incredible kinetic energy to the figures. Punch marks are impressed beneath the wings. Overall dimensions: 10 x 12.5 x 12 cm Total weight of the pair: 780 g. #mexicanmoder
