Sculpture

Exceptional bronze sculpture depicting a large feline — cheetah or leopard — captured in the blazing momentum of its gallop. This animal sculpture of high sculptural quality sits within the tradition of the great animal bronziers, a artistic current that enjoyed its golden age in the 19th century with masters such as Antoine-Louis Barye. What makes this sculpture particularly remarkable is its exceptional surface treatment: the patina mimicking with striking precision the natural spotted fur of the feline, with a network of brown-gold rosettes on a dark background covering the entire body, from the head to the tail. This naturalistic patination work, of rare sophistication, transforms the bronze into a true animal skin and confers on the piece an extraordinary decorative and artistic dimension. The body of the feline is rendered in full stride, arched in speed, the head tilted forward, the tail extended serving as a counterbalance — a moment of power and grace captured in the metal with a keen sense of movement and balance. The sculpture rests on a small matching speckled bronze base, itself placed on an imposing cube of dark gray natural stone. Material: Bronze with naturalistic spotted patina (brown-gold rosettes) Base: Natural stone gray, cube Style: Animalier / Contemporary decorative art Theme: Cheetah / Leopard in motion Type: Decorative reproduction Condition: Very good conditio
