Scailmont, (?) - Vase - floral relief - Uranium Persglas - Circa 1930

Quite a beautiful Belgian Art Deco vase in clear pressed glass, manufactured at the renowned Verreries de Scailmont, circa 1930. This elegant vase is distinguished by its richly worked relief decoration with large stylized flowers, graceful droplet motifs, and geometrically interlacing lines. The hexagonal foot and the gracefully flaring, undulating rim give the piece a pronounced architectural character. A notable feature is the spectacular fluorescence under UV light at 365 nm. The nearly colorless glass changes under ultraviolet light to an intense fluorescent green, indicating the presence of uranium in the glass composition. The underside bears the incised inscription FAIT EN BELGIQUE, confirming its Belgian origin. A decorative and characterful collectible that will appeal to both lovers of Belgian Art Deco glass and collectors of uranium glass. Dimensions and features Height: 29 cm Width: 13 cm Depth: 13 cm Weight: 1,380 grams Material: pressed glass, uranium-containing Origin: Belgium Dating: circa 1930 Manufacturer: Verreries de Scailmont Condition Nice vintage condition with normal, light signs of age and use. The photos form an integral part of the description, including the UV-light photographs at 365 nm. Carefully and professionally packaged and shipped
