Santicri - Gesture XL (No Reserve)

Santicri's unique work, among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 and one of the three most sought-after names on Catawiki. “Fall and Rebirth” represents one of the most intense expressions of his exploration of the duality between chaos and transformation, combining visual power and technical refinement. Description: This work transforms the painting gesture into an essential, direct, almost primitive sign. The single, continuous stroke develops on the surface as an immediate trace, without corrections, making the act visible at the very moment it happens. The line, irregular and tactile, is crossed by drips that introduce a tension between control and abandonment. What might appear simple becomes, instead, an authentic recording of the gesture: a fragile balance between intention and chance. The real insertion of the brush interrupts the painting’s two-dimensionality, turning the work into a physical presence. The gesture is no longer merely depicted, but remains suspended in space, as if it were never truly finished. In 2024 he was included among Artmayeur’s Best-Selling Artists and among the three most sought-after artists on Catawiki, alongside iconic names such as Kaws and Banksy. His works are today in private collections and galleries across Europe. His research fuses contemporary art, design, and material experimentation, giving rise to works with immediate impact and strong collector appeal. “I try to convey what my eyes see, reinterpret it in a modern key: direct, powerful, memorable.” — Santicri
