Santicri Mixed media Dimensions: 90x50x15 cm The work is accompanied by a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity Limited edition 1/8 This contemporary canvas arises from the meeting of one of the most celebrated symbols in art history with a contemporary visual language. Michelangelo's David head is reinterpreted and dragged out of its sculptural dimension, transforming into a presence suspended between matter, image and color. The faucet becomes a true temporal portal: from it the sculpture seems to be sucked in and simultaneously returned in a new form. The matter and color that emerge represent the passage from classical art to a contemporary vision, in which a past icon is fragmented, transformed and reassembled. The work thus reflects on the relationship between memory and transformation, showing how a masterpiece can continue to live even when removed from its original context and reinterpreted through a completely different language. The fusion of the monumental David and the everyday, contemporary element of the faucet creates a deliberately disorienting contrast: art history is not simply cited, but seems to be literally dragged into the present and transformed into new creative matter.
