Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live! SOPN-89 is the specific catalog code for the rare Japanese vinyl pressing of the 1974 live album *Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live!*. This release was issued in Japan by CBS/Sony and is particularly sought after by collectors for two reasons: • Quadraphonic sound: The LP utilizes a special 4-channel (4CH) audio system. When played on a compatible quadraphonic sound system, this creates a spatial 360-degree listening experience in which guitars and percussion are distributed across different angles. • OBI strip: Original copies that still feature the so-called OBI strip—the traditional paper information strip folded around the sleeve of Japanese import records—have a higher collectible value.
