Samantha Bonanno - Silentium

SILENTIUM Paper on canvas, 2026 50 x 50 cm x 3 cm c.a (variable depth due to the layers) Unique piece, hand signed on the back Signed certificate of authenticity included Silentium ,is a Latin noun that translates to "silence", so it means the absence of sound, but in ancient times it also denoted calmness, quiet, and inactivity. Its etymology teaches us that it has never been merely an absence: it has always been a dialogue with the invisible,a language, in fact, that is simply waiting to be heard. It is a language that precedes words and reaches beyond them. An invisible language, structure of the essential. It is not a way to escape from what is real, but a deeper way to experience it. Sometimes, it becomes active contemplation, an invitation to pause and rediscover what is most true within us. ...Furthermore, sometimes it is making space, whether physical or mental, for things that are beautiful and important; it is about leaving space as a form of attention and respect. The work will be shipped as shown in photo ( not framed) and packaged in custom-made packaging with authenticity Certificate. Samantha Bonanno is a Milan -based paper artist whose research focuses on the transformation of paper into modular forms that tell stories of space, meaning and emotions. Each work is born from a concept, a deep reflection on a word or a phrase, as a starting point for a creative journey. Through cuts, folds and manual assembly, she makes the invisible tangible, she tries to bring to consciousness concepts that are often forgotten, creating compositions that are aesthetically powerful and emotionally engaging. Her art is a way of exploring the infinite hidden meaning of even the simplest things, stimulating reflections and thoughts that can deeply resonate with those who observe her works. www.samanthabonanno.com
