This two-volume edition of Don Quixote features illustrations by Salvador Dalí, one of the most celebrated and commercially successful surrealist masters in history, whose market presence ranks alongside the world’s most sought-after artists—such as Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Gustav Klimt, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Francis Bacon, Amedeo Modigliani, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Paul Gauguin, Alberto Giacometti, Edvard Munch, Rembrandt, Roy Lichtenstein, Qi Baishi, and Cy Twombly. While legendary figures like da Vinci or Picasso command hundreds of millions at auction, Dalí’s distinct, dreamlike visual vocabulary—here captured in his interpretations of Cervantes' epic—connects this accessible literary masterpiece directly to the upper echelon of fine art history.
