Description: Magnificent surrealist composition by Salvador Dalí, belonging to his renowned graphical interpretation of The Divine Comedy, one of the artist's most ambitious and acclaimed editorial realizations. The work portrays The Angel of the Seventh Heaven, corresponding to canto XXII of Dante Alighieri's Paradise, linked to the sphere of Saturn and the spiritual elevation toward the higher heavens. Dalídevelops a composition of extraordinary elegance and symbolism, starring an angelic figure with extremely stylized anatomy, whose wings and limbs extend vertically over a background of clouds. The delicate combination of blueish, gray, and ocher tones, along with the fine reddish lines surrounding the figure, conveys a sense of spirituality, weightlessness, and celestial ascent. Dalí's interpretation transforms the medieval vision of Paradise into a modern image, where religious mysticism merges with the surrealist language characteristic of the master. The work is part of the monumental editorial project developed between 1959 and 1963, for which approximately 3,500 wood matrices were prepared for the one hundred illustrations of The Divine Comedy. Edition on Japanese paper, with wide margins and no visible watermarks, preserving the chromatic delicacy and richness of detail of this renowned composition. Condition: The sheet shows signs of age, with humidity stains visible in the margins of the paper, mainly on the side area of the composition. Prominent graphic work by Salvador Dalí, cataloged and of great interest to collectors of surrealism, religious art, bibliophily, and major illustrated editions of the twentieth century. Origin: collection linked to Enrique Sabater
