Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and chroming. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, driving him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "only" an exemplary technique thus becomes the means to give life to modern pop sculptures, vibrant and ironic.
