Modernist cocktail shaker in the shape of a champagne bottle, designed by Lino Sabattini (1925-2016) and produced by Sabattini Argenteria in Italy, the 1970s / early '80s. This model is the most essential and sculptural version of the famous Sabattini shaker: cylindrical body with diagonal cut, interlocking closure, no superfluous decoration. It embodies the minimalist aesthetic for which Sabattini is known, the same designer of the famous 'Windsor' model of 1956 for Christofle, described as "Rare 'Windsor' model shaker produced by Christofle France designed by Lino Sabattini in 1956". Not polished, sold in the condition found as in photo. Interior in good condition. Closure operation perfect. Provenance: private find in Italy.
