The silver plating retains a uniform mirrored shine across the body and cap, with no wear or noticeable bare spots; only micro-surface usage lines on the flat faces of the cap, visible by transmitted light. Engravings "S.T. Dupont" and "PARIS" and the headstamp are sharp and legible. Straight gold nib, well aligned and without bends, with clearly defined 18ct/750 mark.
