With 22 contributions from among others Shalom Asch, Martin Buber, Eisik Mejer Dick, Jakob Dienesohn, Josef B. Ehrlich, Nahum Sokolow, etc.. The work of the writer and Nobel Prize laureate Samuel Joseph Agnon (1888-1970) is rooted in the religious and spiritual traditions of the Chassidim and in the daily life of Eastern Judaism. The publisher Ahron Elisberg (1879-1937) notes that this collection of brongeschriften (bronze manuscripts/legendary texts), legends, folklore facts is intended and suitable to evoke the sense of the grandeur of our past.
