Royal Bayreuth Bavaria Musicians Porcelain Pitcher and Service Group

Royal Bayreuth Bavaria porcelain service group featuring the Musicians pattern in a dark chocolate brown to tan ombre glaze finish. The group includes a large octagonal-base pitcher, a smaller jug, a tankard, and a coal-scuttle form vessel, each decorated with transfer-printed vignettes depicting tavern musicians in Renaissance-style dress playing instruments such as the cello, lute, violin, and flute. The upper sections of the larger pieces are finished in a dark brown glaze accented by white-outlined diamond motifs and gilt highlights on the handles and rims. The undersides of the pitcher, jug, and tankard feature a blue underglaze mark consisting of a crowned coat of arms with two lions rampant, the words Royal Bayreuth in a semi-circle, and Bavaria printed below. A similar mark is present on the base of the scuttle but is not fully legible due to its position. Dimensions: 6.25"W x 5.25"H Weight: 1.55 lbs Condition Request Condition Report Good.
