Two Rosenthal Studio Line porcelain tea cups and saucers, designed in the 1980's by Dorothy Hafner. The design is called "Flash". Size: 6cm x 8,5cm. The condition is like new, no chips or cracks, see photo's. Dorothy Hafner (b. 1952) is an American ceramic artist known for her bold use of color, graphic geometry, and her role in introducing a distinctly American postmodern aesthetic into European porcelain. Hafner's work for Rosenthal in the 1980s marked a decisive shift toward postmodern color expression, combining the exuberance of the American Memphis era with German precision production. These teacups and saucers are exemplary of that period: decorative without being exaggerated, expressive yet restrained.
