Rosary - Silver - 1930-1940 - Glass

Art Deco era rosary in silver (cross + medal) and black Murano glass (or Bohemian faceted beads) with an "Aurora Borealis" reflection. The signature “AP”: The initials engraved on the bottom of the Virgin Mary medal correspond to the famous Lyonnais masters' medalist dynasty Penin (here Adolphe Penin). The cross and the medal have tested positive for silver with acid (left and middle tests on the touchstone). The chain should be in silver-plated metal or nickel-plated brass as it tested negative for silver with acid (right test on the touchstone). Good overall condition. Length 41.5 cm. Weight 17.8 g.
