ROMILLY - Lot 28

ROMILLY 18K gold (750 parts per thousand) pocket watch with a striking quarter-hour repeater, white enamel dial, black railway-track minute track, Roman numeral hour markers in black decals, Breguet-style hour hand with a hollowed-out gold tip, gold minute hand. Hinged bezel decorated with engravings. Case back decorated with guilloché work, featuring an engraved flower in the center. Around the dial, the inscription “ROMILLY” is engraved. Mechanical movement with manual winding via a key, featuring a striking quarter-hour repeater, a two-screw balance cock that has been re-drilled, fusee and chain system, a rosette for adjusting the advance, delay, and speed of the chime, a verge escapement, and the inscription “ROMILLY 1733 2/79.” The watch was partially functional at the time of appraisal; no guarantee is given regarding future operation or the condition of the parts.
