Descriptio Carved and gilded wood with a Nero Portoro marble top. Dimensions: 180 × 70 × 113 cm. This impressive Roman console table is crafted from finely carved and gilded wood, featuring a structure of curved profiles and abundant sculptural decoration. The sinuous legs are joined by richly worked crossbars that lend balance and visual lightness to the piece. The original gilding is retained, enhancing the depth and detail of the carving. The top is made of Nero Portoro marble, characterized by its intense black background traversed by prominent gold and ivory veins, one of the most prized Italian ornamental marbles for its chromatic richness and decorative effect. Condition: excellent overall. A high-quality piece with a strong visual impact, representative of early 18th-century Roman cabinetmaking. This lot is stored in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
