The configuration balances the richness of its 18K yellow gold Oyster case with the more technical appearance of the black Cerachrom bezel, creating a modern interpretation of Rolex’s celebrated chronograph. The panda dial provides the visual focus, its contrasting chronograph registers bringing depth and definition to the familiar three-counter layout. Against the lighter background, the darker registers immediately recall the high-contrast chronograph dials that have played an important role throughout the history of the Daytona.
