Rice tray with pastoral scene, European school, 19th century

Descriptio Silver-plated metal. Measures 38 x 29 x 2 cm. Oval-shaped tray with a lobed rim and wide brim, the center of which features a relief scene with two female figures in a relaxed pose alongside sheep in a rural landscape with vegetation and natural elements. The figures are reclining and conversing, while the animals are arranged around them in various positions, creating a balanced and narrative composition. The outer brim remains smooth, contrasting with the detailed work of the central motif. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist.
