3 bottles of Rhum: - Vieux Millésime 2013 Rhum Vieux Millésime 2013 is one of the latest expressions of the project born in Marie-Galante from the meeting of Luca Gargano and Gianni Capovilla. Produced through an extremely long fermentation process and discontinuous *bain-marie* distillation in small copper stills, it is the pure expression of an artisanal style deeply rooted in the raw material. The year 2013 on the label indicates the distillation year. The rum was "released" from the barrels in 2024, following 11 years of tropical aging in premium casks that previously held fine French white wines. Bottling was carried out by Capovilla in Rosà. -Rhum Liberation 2024 Is produced from the Rouge B47.259 sugarcane variety—an ancient cultivar that had all but vanished from the Antilles. Once perfectly ripe, the cane is harvested by hand using traditional *coutelas* knives and transported to the distillery on bull-drawn carts known as *cabrouet*. The freshly pressed juice is not diluted—a step commonly found in the production of *rhum agricole*—and fermentation takes place in open, temperature-controlled vats, lasting up to five or six days. Following distillation, the spirit undergoes a long resting period of up to a year in steel tanks, during which the alcohol content is gradually reduced. The rum is then aged in French oak barrels that previously held some of the finest wines from France’s greatest *crus*. Every Liberation bottling displays the year of its "liberation" from the barrel on the label. - Rhum Liberation 2024 version integral This rum represents one of the most significant and visionary projects dedicated to *rhum agricole*; it was born from the meeting of Luca Gargano and Gianni Capovilla on Marie-Galante, with the aim of producing an exceptional artisanal rum—pure and deeply rooted in its raw material. An extremely long fermentation process, discontinuous *bain-marie* distillation in small copper stills, and aging in premium wood casks—previously used for fine French white wines—combine to create a unique style of remarkable aromatic complexity. The "Libération 2024" releases—available at various alcohol strengths—display the year of their "liberation" from the barrel on the label, following a maturation period that took place entirely in a tropical climate.
