Revell, Heller & SISO | Six vintage aircraft model kit lots | Mirage, TU-144 & Cousteau’s PBY. Six dozen, six projects. The winter evenings are already booked. From a large 1:32 Mirage to Cousteau’s seaplane and two wooden aircraft-building kits. This collection brings together different facets of classic model building, including the original illustrated boxes. Those packages alone deserve a place in the hobby room. For the vintage kit collector, the aviation history enthusiast, or grandpa showing his grandchild how an airplane is made without a touchscreen. Keeping it for the holidays is also an option. Composition Revell Israeli Mirage 5J / French Mirage 5F Scale 1:32, reference H-155. According to the box with versions for the Israeli Mirage 5J and French Mirage 5F. Length of the built model about 48.3 cm. Heller Mirage IV Scale 1:50, reference 830. French plastic kit with a nicely illustrated box. Various parts are still attached to the sprues. Tupolev TU-144 Vintage plastic kit of the supersonic passenger aircraft. Attributed to VEB Plasticart from the former East Germany, scale about 1:100. This attribution is based on the packaging and rendition. Revell Cousteau’s PBY Flying Boat Scale 1:72, reference H-576. The characteristic Catalina in Cousteau livery. The accompanying manual and the decal sheet show substantial paper damage. SISO Dana Wooden glider kit, reference 13/9004. According to the packaging a wingspan of 122 cm and a fuselage length of 82 cm. With construction plan and various loose parts. SISO Marabu Wooden aircraft kit with rubber band propulsion, reference 13/9007. According to the packaging a wingspan of 59 cm and a fuselage length of 47.5 cm. With construction plan and several accessories. Details Quantity: six model kits, offered as a single lot. Materials: plastic and wood, with paper construction plans, manuals and decals where present. Estimated period: 1960s–1980s. The exact issue years vary per kit and are not determined for all items. Origin: various manufacturers and editions. Heller lists France. The SISO packaging mentions Sieber, West Germany, with IGRA indications on the contents. The TU-144 is attributed to East Germany. The manufacturing country of the Revell examples is not established. Condition Most are unbuilt and some sets are unused. Various parts are still attached to the sprues or in bags. There are also loose parts inside the boxes. None of the six sets has been checked for completeness. Missing parts cannot be ruled out. The presence and usability of all decals, manuals and other accessories have not been fully checked. The original packaging shows signs of age and storage, including discoloration, wear, dents, tears and, in places, holes. On the Cousteau set, the manual and the decal sheet also show holes and missing edges. The functionality of old glue and elastic bands has not been tested. Photos are an integral part of the description and give an impression of the condition and the parts present. The lot includes the six model kits with the contents as shown.
