Reuge - Musical cigarette dispenser - carillon floral decorations - Alloy

**Reuge – Musical cigarette case in the form of a temple with mechanical opening and floral decorations** Refined cigarette case with Reuge carillon, conceived as a small circular temple: an object where practical function becomes spectacle, between music, movement and decorative details. The structure alternates ivory-colored panels, adorned with bouquets of multicolored flowers, with fluted columns and gilded frames. The floral decoration continues on the base and the lid, crowned by a small winged cherub with a stringed instrument. Mask-like feet complete the ensemble, with a classical and theatrical flair. The mechanism allows the panels to open, revealing the cigarette holders on the inner side and a second small singing cherub in the center. The transition from the closed to the open form makes this object particularly fascinating as a display piece as well. The label on the bottom bears the melodies **“Le Danube bleu”** and **“Vienne, ville de mes rêves”**, respectively The Blue Danube and Vienna, City of My Dreams. **Dimensions:** H 26 × 17 × 17 cm. **Weight:** 1.7 kg. **Condition:** carillon and opening mechanism functioning. Shows signs of age, patina and oxidations on the metal parts, with wear to the gilded finishes, as visible in the photographs. The patina has been preserved, leaving to the buyer the choice of any cleaning interventions. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
