Reuge - 1966 - 1950-1959

Vintage Swiss Reuge / Peugeot mechanical pocket watch with original case by Vautier - 1960s/1970s Description Spectacular and rare collector's set: Mechanical lapel/pocket watch with an integrated music box by the prestigious Swiss firm Reuge (movement marketed/equipped by Paul Peugeot), preserved in its original Swiss presentation case made by Vautier. A true work of art of mid-20th century Swiss micro-mechanics that combines high watchmaking with the tradition of Sainte-Croix musical automatons. Features of the Watch and Music Box: Outer Case: Beautiful textured rectangular body with an abundant, intricate gold-plated floral relief. Includes its original upper suspension chain. Watch Dial: Light-colored dial signed (Peugeot), with minimalist gold indices. Watch Movement: 17-jewel manual-wind Swiss mechanism with shock protection system Incabloc. Musical Mechanism: Authentic miniature music box by Reuge. Clearly reproduces the classic and coveted French melody "Valse aux Chandelles" (The Waltz of the Candles). Features of the Case (Presentation Box): Authenticity: Preserves the original base with the official seal of the prestigious Swiss luxury packaging manufacturer Vautier (the "V" logo on the shield), historical supplier for brands like Omega and Longines. Inscriptions on the base: Includes the original melody label (Valse aux Chandelles), origin (Made in Switzerland) and patent filing (Model Déposé). Condition: Aesthetic: In good vintage condition with the natural patina of time that attests to its age (see detailed photographs to assess exact condition).
