Large Thai Ramakien Relief – Hanuman Battle Scene – Vintage Thai Wall Art -ca 1970 In excellent condition A striking vintage Thai high-relief wall panel depicting a dramatic scene from the Ramakien, Thailand’s national epic. The central figure is Hanuman, the legendary monkey warrior, shown beneath a royal battle chariot in an elaborate mythological scene. The relief is exceptionally detailed, with deeply chased and embossed decoration, traditional Thai architecture, warriors, animals and characteristic swirling ornamental motifs. The strong three-dimensional relief gives the scene impressive depth and presence. Presented in a substantial dark wooden stepped frame, which provides an attractive contrast to the silvery metal surface.
