Rare Thonet music stand

A rare Thonet music stand (Model Nr. 1); present in the Thonet catalogue of 1886, 1890 and marked as model Nr. 11.801 on page 87 of the 1904 Gebrüder Thonet catalog, featuring its original period rosewood finish. This model is highly sought after by Thonet collectors; the original Thonet paper label (Type 2 – Thonet Vienna) is also still present. The piece shows no signs of woodworm, breaks, losses, or other defects; the original finish is in untouched, original condition, and the object is fully intact. An exceptionally elegant, lightweight piece of furniture that blends perfectly into either an antique or modern setting. Dimensions: H. 62 x 53 x 42 cm.
