Tutte le aste / Etnografia / Rare metal mask, Ligbi, Ivory Coast, 19th-20th centuries

Descriptio Copper alloy. Dimensions: 29 cm high. This mask features a frontal design and elongated structure, characterized by a strong stylization of the facial features. It has openwork semicircular eyes, a nose extended by a central vertical element, small upper protrusions resembling horns, and various lateral appliqués that reinforce its sculptural character. The surface retains an irregular patina in earthy and dark tones, with oxidation and signs of use consistent with the age and nature of the material. This lot is in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
