Rare Table Lamp "Totem Cubique" in authentic Murano Glass by Albano Poli for Poliarte - Italy, c. 1970 Superb sculptural table lamp attributed to Albano Poli for the Italian manufacturer Poliarte, made around 1970. This piece with a strong geometric design perfectly illustrates the modernist and Space Age aesthetics of the 1970s. The lamp consists of two imposing blocks of art glass, stacked to form an architectural silhouette evoking a totem. The glass displays beautiful shades of honey, amber and caramel, combined with translucent areas that gently diffuse the light. The thick glass blocks offer an organic texture and refraction effects that give the whole a sculptural character, even when the lamp is off. A central perforated aluminum ring ensures the assembly of the two elements and harmoniously completes the design. This creation is part of Poliarte’s distinctive approach, the Italian manufacturer founded by Albano Poli in 1968, known for its art glass luminaires with geometric shapes and generous volumes.
