Tutte le aste / / RARE Kunzite & Diamond 14K Necklace Pendant
The lot features an astounding rare Kunzite large pear cut stone set in 14K gold with ribbon halo bezel being artfully set with natural Diamonds and strung on a 14K gold chain. Kunzite is named after the famed gemologist George Frederick Kunz who was the first to identify this rare variety of spondumene. Much of Kunzite is found in California?s San Diego County. The stone is most collected for its intense color range with more vivid colors being of a higher value, such as this example showing a vivid pinkish purple coloring. This example is very eye clean with no visible inclusions along with a very good cut grade and large size of 23.61 carats in a pear brilliant modified cut. The large 14 karat white gold pendant shows a double ribbon halo bezel with flowing curl swirls at the top and bottom having a hinged double halo bail loop all set with 120 round brilliant natural Diamonds with high VS1 to SI1 clarity and F-G color with total weight of 1.87 carats. The pendant has a weight of 17.5 grams and is strung on an 18 inch 14K white gold chain. Truly a beautiful and rare large stone with vivid coloring, collectability and fine design. This comes with an AIGL (American International Gemological Laboratories, INC. AIGL Report No. K59E35-EA14333) which confirms the above info and gives a value of $17,805.00.
