History The Rado President line reflects the bold design language of the 1970s, often utilizing distinct case geometries alongside reliable Swiss calibers. In Rado's eight-digit reference number system of the era, the first three digits indicate the movement caliber. The 636 in this model's reference corresponds to the automatic ETA 2836, which provides both day and date complications. This structured framework allowed Rado to produce dependable mechanical watches with a strong, identifiable visual presence.
